Packs, tents, sleeping bags, stoves, sleeping mats, rain jackets, walking poles & baby carriers.
 For winter activities, we have cross country skis, snowshoes, a sled for children or gear, crampons and ice axes.

  • SKIS & SNOW GEAR
    The equipment we offer has stable boot/binding systems which give enjoyable skiing. You may be able to hire cheaper skis elsewhere but we have seen many users struggling with inappropriate hire gear in the snow which leads to disappointment. Discuss your needs with us.
    We offer 4 categories of ski equipment:-
    NBC: Skis are metal-edged wider touring skis with NBC (NNN BackCountry) boots and bindings. This system is user friendly and offers excellent stability.  It is highly recommended for inexperienced skiers.
    Steel Edge: Steel edged touring skis with heavy duty leather  boots and cable bindings.
    Premium Touring: Steel edged wide backcountry extended touring skis with cable bindings and plastic boots. Also suitable for backcountry telemarking.
    Premium Telemark: Resort Tele skis, lots of sidecut, G3 cable bindings and Garmont plastic boots. Optional adjustable poles for serious telemarkers.

  • Day rate applies to an afternoon pickup and return before 10.00am on the day following the hire. If there is no day rate shown, the minimum charge is the weekend rate.
    Weekend rate allows Thursday afternoon pickup and Monday return.
  • Week rate allows 7 days, or in the case of a Friday pickup, goods may be returned on the Monday week.
  • Discounts: please note that we do not offer discounts on hire rates.
  • Bookings: Equipment may be booked in advance by phone or in person. To secure a booking, a downpayment of $10.00 per item must be made. This is refundable on cancellation, provided the cancellation is advised at least 4 working days prior to the pick-up date.
